About Us

My Backstory

The Regrowth Project is the spearhead of a lifelong goal, with the humble origins of my Parent's and Grandparent's gardens. As a young girl I found wonder, escape, and comfort in the outdoors. Every year my Grandpa would bring us homegrown peppers, tomatoes, and carrots, and peaches grown locally in Palisade, CO. I worked every summer knee-deep in pond water, surrounded by my Grandma's beautiful waterlilies. From that, I hit the ground running, working in Garden Centers, obsessing over houseplants, everything I could do to surround myself with green at all times. It was just about inevitable that my passions would eventually find a way into a project such as this.

So why...this?

I struggled for a long time to find a purpose for my gardening, I knew it wasn't enough to have a garden, or sell plants, or do landscaping, or work in a lab. There is tremendous purpose in all of these career paths, but I needed to combine it with my passion for community, and holistic living, and food. The Regrowth Project is the culmination of all of the things my indecisive mind could not separate, and all the things I know hold an impertinent place in where our world is standing at this current moment.

What's Next?

Currently, I am in the process of getting degrees in both Business Administration and Environmental Science, and will utilize these to start a grassroots (pun) program in my local area to plant (pun#2) more local food gardens. Along with that, I will start and maintain an online presence of education and fun to help inspire new people to find comfort in gardening.
